Alton Bouchard

Alton J. Bouchard was born Aug. 7, 1953, in Waterville, son of William J. and Alma A. (Duprey) Bouchard, and brother to Linda Bouchard. 

At a very young age, Alton held a passion for planes, especially seaplanes. He owned more than hundreds of them in his lifetime. His dream was to write a book about seaplanes one day.

Alton Bouchard served in the Army in Vietnam from 1972 to 1974 and was honorably discharged. He was a pilot and based his career in that field. He started in his garage rebuilding wrecked planes, then he owned Central Maine Flying Service and since 2000, he was owner of PK Floats in Lincoln, where he manufactured and engineered floats for planes. 

Alton was a member of Seaplane Pilots Association, Airplane Owners and Pilots Association, General Aviation Manufactures Association, Maine Snowmobile Association, National Rifle Association, Sebasticook Lodge No. 146 AF & AM, Clinton, and Anah Shriners. 

Alton loved fishing, snowmobiling, hunting and enjoyed the outdoors tremendously. Alton loved being a jokester and laughing. 

Alton passed away February 17, 2013.
