Everett Dickey

Everett Ormond Dickey was born in Fairfield, Maine on May 30, 1924, the son of Everett and Beatrice (Webb) Dickey. He had 8 siblings: Donald, Glenna, Betty, Ralph, Arnold, Patricia, Barbara, and Muriel.

Everett graduated from Clinton High School and enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving during World War II in Germany and France from 1943 to 1945. He then returned to Clinton, Maine to begin his life at home with his wife Janet (Currie) Dickey.

Everett held many jobs, including truck driver, woodsman and home builder. He and his wife Janet built several homes on the Hill Road in Clinton, including the home his parents lived in and the house he lived in at the time of his passing. Everett retired from Maine Central Railroad in 1986. He and his wife, Janet, who celebrated their 68th anniversary in 2016, divided their time between their homes in Florida and Maine.

Everett was a quiet man who enjoyed working outside, mowing the lawn, tending his garden, walking his dog Ginger, and spending time with his family.

At the age of 92, Everett passed away on July 9, 2016, at his home on the Hill Road in Clinton.
