Norris Braley
Norris N Braley, was born in Burnham, Maine on December 3, 1940 and was brother to David and Candyee.
As a young boy, he moved to Norton Grove, Massachusetts, and shortly thereafter he moved to Clinton, Maine to live with his grandfather.
He attended Clinton High School before joining the Army and successfully qualified for the 173rd Airborne Brigade, for which only 3,000 men were chosen. He served three years of active duty fighting as a paratrooper in the Vietnam War, and received an honorable discharge from the Army.
Norris then returned to Clinton to marry his high school sweetheart and had two children, Kevin and Karen. Later, he met his soul mate again and married her, Barbara Emery, and they had a son, Calvin. Barbara had two children from her first marriage, Valerie and Richard, and Norris helped to raise them.
He worked at Keyes Fiber his entire life in the union and as management, retiring early enough to spend every good day golfing. His favorite hobbies were golfing, helping neighbors, watching sports and chasing grandchildren. He focused on decreasing waste and leaving things better than they were.
