Joseph Frederick Albert 

Commonly known as Freddie, technician fourth grade Joseph Frederick Albert served in the U.S. Army during World War II. 

Freddie married Gerry Fitzpatrick in 1947. Freddie, Gerry and their children, Keith and Nancy, moved to Clinton with Gerry’s family: Gerry’s mother Mildred Fitzpatrick, and Gerry’s two brothers Phil, and Neil, and a sister Ruth Ann. 

Freddie opened Albert’s Variety Store in 1954. 

In 1956, Gerry opened “Gerry’s Beauty Salon” in the back of the store. 

Freddie passed away in 1985.
