Francis Foley
Sergeant Francis Foley served from 1941 to 1945 in the in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was proud to have served his country, along with his four brothers, during World War II.
He married Carolyn Page on July 16, 1950, and they honeymooned at Verrill's Deluxe cabins in Rangeley for $6.00 a day.
They made their home in Clinton and raised three loving children, Julie A. Belanger, Patricia A. Stockwell and Jeffrey A. Foley. When the children had all moved out, Carolyn and Francis purchased a motor home and became "snowbirds" heading for Silver Springs, Fla., before the winter weather arrived.
Francis and Carolyn shared 48 years of marriage together before his passing on March 14, 1998.
